Issue


How to add the Employee Name to PDK Timesheet History Report?


Resolution


1. Go into Report Writer by navigating to Tools|Customize|Report Writer.


2. Click on the Reports icon from the top menu bar.


3. From the Original Reports side, highlight the PDK Timesheet History report and choose Insert.


4. Then on the Modified Reports side, highlight the same report and choose the Open button.


5. In the Report Definition window choose the Tables button.


6. In the Report Table Relationships window, highlight the PDK Timesheet HDR and choose the New button.


7. Highlight the Payroll Master and choose the OK button.


8. Select the Close button.


9. Choose the Layout button.


10. In the Toolbox choose Payroll Master from the drop down list.


11. In the scrolling window find First Name field and drag it into the B (Body) section of the report.


12. In the report layout, double click on the field that you just dragged onto the report.


13. In the Report Field Options window, be sure the Display Type is set to Visible.


14. Set the Field Type to Data.


15. Choose the OK button.


16. In the scrolling window find Last Name field and drag it into the B (Body) section of the report.


17. In the report layout, double click on the field that you just dragged onto the report.


18. In the Report Field Options window, be sure the Display Type is set to Visible.


19. Set the Field Type to Data.


20. Choose the OK button.


21. Close the Report Layout window and save changes.


22. Go back to PDK by going to File|Personal Data Keeper.


23. Grant security to the report in Setup|System|Security.
