FIX: An access violation may occur when the optimizer uses an Adaptive Join in SQL Server 2017

Assume that you run a query with joins to retrieve data from two or more tables in SQL Server 2017. In somesituations, when the query optimizer replaces a physical join operator likeHash Joins or Nested Loop Joins with the Adaptive Join operator, you mayexperience an access violation exception. This issue may occur intermittently.


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
