Symptoms
When you run the exact same PolyBase query multiple times in SQL Server 2019, you may notice that every other query execution will fail with the following error message:
Msg 111208, Level 16, State 1, Line LineNumber
111208;An internal error occurred that prevents further processing of this command: Authentication cancelled.
Msg 596, Level 21, State 1, Line LineNumber
Cannot continue the execution because the session is in the kill state.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
