If we block or close your account
To help protect you and other customers from fraud or abuse, we might temporarily block your Microsoft account. In certain cases, such as repeated violations of our policies or prolonged inactivity, we might close your account.
- If we temporarily block your Microsoft account, you won’t lose any money in your account except for any promotional balances that expire while the account is blocked.
- If we close your Microsoft account, the remaining balance won’t be refunded, unless required by law. If required, to cover any damages we’ve incurred, we will withhold all or part of your account balance, if needed. We might ask you for additional info to process your refund.
