"Distribution Accounts Are Missing or Invalid" error message when posting Invoices

SYMPTOMS

When posting Invoices, you may receive the following error message: 

Distribution Accounts are Missing or Invalid.

RESOLUTION

Make sure there are distribution accounts assigned at the line entry level. To check this, with the Sales Transaction Entry window (Transactions|Sales|Sales Trx Entry) open, select the expansion button next to the header Item Number, then click on Distributions button. You need to make sure this screen is filled out completely or the above error message will appear.
