- Autodiscover failure
- Exchange Web Services (EWS) authentication failure
- EWS connectivity issues
- Disabled EWS
Consider the following scenario:
- You log on to the workstation by using the "domain\alias1" account.
- Exchange Online mailbox is configured by using a linked master account of "domain\alias2."
- You try to set an OOF message in the Outlook client.
<e:Message>Unable to access an account or mailbox.</e:Message>
If this is not your issue, or if you cannot resolve the issue by using the ASR function, enable Outlook client logging, and include an OOF and autodiscover logs. Then, reproduce the error. To do this, see KB 2871887 How to enable Outlook logging and collect Outlook logs in Office 365 dedicated .
Additionally, see KB 3028900 Outlook or Lync connections fail when the EWS protocol is disabled in Office 365 dedicated/ITAR for additional troubleshooting steps.
