This article describes an issue that occurs when you call intrinsic functions (the /Oi compiler setting) in Visual C++ projects after you upgrade to Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Update 4. If you run the application in Debug/Win32, the application crashes, and you may receive the following error message:
A hotfix is available to resolve this issue. The hotfix has a prerequisite that you must have Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 installed.
