Register for and Attend Training on the Partner Learning Center

How to register for a course

The registration process will vary depending upon how the course is located.

1. Log on to the Partner Learning Center using a Windows Account (formerly Live ID) associated to your Partner Organization.

2. To register for a course, click the Register button either from a direct link that has been provided or after locating the course through Search.

Note  A direct link may also be provided that bypasses the Register button and provides the opportunity to select the offering you wish to attend (see the next step below).



OR



3. Choose the offering that you would like to attend, select any associated sessions, and click the Submit button.



Note If the Submit button is not active, review your selections to ensure that you have met the requirements for registration.

4. Once you have submitted your registration, you will see a registration confirmation message.

Note  If you select an Offering that is full or requires approval, you will receive a status message. You can view your status multiple ways:

From the Left Nav -> Locate the Quick Links -> Click on Pending Activities



OR

Click on the Learn Menu -> Training Schedule 



Change the View to “Waiting list or pending approval or pending payment”





How to attend a Live Meeting


In order to join a live online course, you MUST REGISTER for the Live Meeting PRIOR to the Start Time. If you attempt to register for the Live Meeting after the session has started, you will receive an error message, and will not be able to join. See the Section “How to register for a course” for registration instructions.

Once registered, there are several ways to join the meeting. The Start button is available for you to join the meeting up to thirty minutes prior to the start time until the end time. Here are the different ways you can attend the meeting:
  • Click on the link provided in the registration confirmation or reminder email. Join the Live Meeting by clicking on the Start button.
  • If you have the Outlook Calendar Add-in installed, when you register for the Live Meeting the event will be automatically published to your Outlook calendar. Click on the link in the Outlook appointment and join the Live Meeting by click on the Start button.
  • On the PLC homepage, the activity will be listed on your To Do List. The Start button for the Live Meeting will be available up to 30 minutes prior to the start time. Click this button to join the Live Meeting.
  • Go to your Training Schedule by clicking Learn ->Training Schedule in the navigation menu and locate the Live Meeting activity. The Start button will be displayed for the event up to 30 minutes prior to the start time. Click this button to join the Live Meeting.
  • If an audio option is provided by telephone, the dialup number and PIN will be included in the Audio Information section of your Registration Confirmation and Outlook Calendar Reminder.
  • If you leave the Live Meeting prior to the end time, you can rejoin the meeting by clicking the Start button on the PLC homepage, your Training Schedule, or the Activity Details page. The Start button will be available throughout the duration of the meeting but will not be available after the meeting end time.
In order to attend Live Meeting events, you must have the Live Meeting client installed on your computer. Click here to get it.



How to see if a fee is associated to a course


Some training activities in the PLC have a cost associated with them.  To view the cost after performing a search in the PLC:

1. Single click on the Title of a course and the details of the course will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Note Be sure that you have highlighted the listing of the course with the Activity Type = “Course (Live).” If the selection has been expanded, and you are viewing the Activity Type = “Course Offering (Live)” the cost information will not be available from this view.

 

2. Click on View Details.



3. The Cost will be displayed under List Price. 

Note While a Cancellation Fee may not be listed, there could be a late cancellation fee. Please read the notes of any cost based event for the full cancellation policy.





How to register for a course with a fee


The registration process will vary depending upon how the course was located.

1. To Register for an activity with a cost associated with it click the Register button, either from a direct link that has been provided or after locating the course through Search.

Note A direct link may also be provided that bypasses the Register button and provides the opportunity to select the offering you wish to attend (see the next step below).

2. Choose the offering that you would like to attend, select any associated sessions, and click the Purchase button. You will then be taken to the Payment page.



To complete payment

In the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom:

Enter your credit card information and click ok. A confirmation message will be provided once the transaction is complete. If the transaction is not processed successfully, a specific error message will display.

In Germany, Austria, and Switzerland:

If you are paying by post pay account, select the account you are authorized to use to make the purchase, and click the Pay Now button.  You will be able to view an invoice for the payment. 

After making any purchase, confirmation of payment can be viewed in the PLC by navigating to Learn -> Learning Activity Reports -> Invoice Report. Clicking the invoice number in the report will show the details of the purchase. An invoice will also be sent as a PDF document to the email address used during registration.



LM IT Services AG, Germany is the contracting partner for ecommerce activities in the PLC. With your registration you have agreed to pass on your data to them. Charges for your training will appear on your statement as a charge from LM IT Services AG, Germany.  


How do I cancel my registration for a course?

Note   If the training you wish to cancel has a fee associated with it, be sure to review the cancellation policy prior to cancelling. You may or may not be refunded the full or partial payment.

1. From your To Do list, locate the course. For more information, please see Manage To Do List on the Partner Learning Center.

3. Click on the Other Actionsdrop-down menu and click on Cancel Registration.



4. On the cancellation confirmation page, review the selected items for cancellation and click Cancel Marked.
