- The Stop error 0x000000C2 might be caused by an error handling issue in the win32k.sys file.
- The Stop error 0x0000003B might be caused by a synchronization issue in the dxgkrnl.sys file.
- The parameters in Stop error messages may vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
- Not all "Stop 0x000000C2" errors or "Stop 0x0000003B" errors are caused by one of these issues.
Even though these issues have only been observed in Windows Server 2012 R2, the hotfix also applies to Windows 8.1.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

PrerequisitesTo apply this hotfix, you must have the April 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (2919355) installed in Windows Server 2012 R2.
