Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2016 or 2017 .

  • You install Cumulative Update 3 for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

  • You create a subscription that uses file share delivery. However, you specify an incorrect password for the account to access the shared folder.

In this scenario, the subscription fails, as expected, due to the incorrect password. However, the error message in the Result column can't be fully displayed because the horizontal scroll bar is missing from the Subscription page. This makes it difficult to determine why the execution failed.

Resolution

This fix is included in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2017

Cumulative Update 5 for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1
