Description of the security update for PowerPoint 2010: December 11, 2018

This security update resolves vulnerabilities in MicrosoftOffice that could allow remote code execution if a user opens a speciallycrafted Office file. To learn more about these vulnerabilities, see MicrosoftCommon Vulnerabilities and Exposures CVE-2018-8628.

Note To apply this security update, you must have therelease version of Service Pack 2 for Office 2010 installed on thecomputer.

Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Centerapplies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2010. Itdoesn't apply to the Office 2010 Click-to-Run editions, such as MicrosoftOffice 365 Home (see Determiningyour Office version).
