Add Skype contacts in Windows 10 Mobile

With Skype in Windows 10 Mobile, reaching your contacts has never been easier. You can search for your contacts by name, email, or Skype ID, or browse suggested contacts. Skype can even match your mobile and email address book to your friends who use Skype, so you can quickly connect—even if they use Mac, iOS, or Android devices.

Find and add a contact by name, email or Skype ID

  1. On Start , swipe over to the All apps list, and then select Skype video.
  2. Select Add contacts

  3. In the search box, type the name, Skype Name, or email address of the person you want to add.
  4. Select your friend from the search results.
  5. Type a quick note to your friend, and then click Send.

When you send someone a contact request, they’ll appear in your contact list with a question mark until they’ve accepted. After your friend accepts your contact request, you can see when they’re online.

Match your address book to friends who use Skype

  1. On Start , swipe over to the All apps list, and then select Skype video.
  2. Select More … > Settings.
  3. Select Use my address book.

Friends that are matched will be added automatically to your address book. If only one of you has the other's contact information, we’ll ask you to send them an invite request.

Browse suggested contacts

  1. On Start , swipe over to the All apps list, and then select Skype video.
  2. Select Suggested contacts.

From here, you can accept invitations or browse your contact suggestions and send them an invite.
