Call friends and family with a couple of taps. With the different ways to call, you'll be talking in no time.

The easiest way to get contacts on your phone is to add an email or other account to your phone. After you add the account, you'll find your contacts in the People app. For more info about how to get your contacts onto your phone, see Sync your contacts.

It starts with People

One of the quickest ways to call is to go into People and call someone from there. On Start

, swipe over to the All apps list, then select People > the name of the person > number to call.

, select Phone , then select History > Phone book > name > number.

If you call someone a lot, add them to speed dial. Go to Speed dial > +. Enter that person's name in the search box, select their name, and then the number you want to add (if they have more than one number).

Call from a text conversation

Sometimes it's just easier to talk. During your conversation in the Messaging app, select Call to switch from typing to talking.
