In Microsoft Lync or Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) in an Office 365 Dedicated/ITAR environment, a user's contact list is empty, or some of the contacts are missing.
This issue occurs for one of the following reasons:
- The contacts were deleted accidentally.
- The user account was deprovisioned and then reprovisioned.
- Microsoft Lync lets a user add no more than 250 contacts. A distribution group (DG) counts as only one contact regardless of the number of contacts that are associated with the DG. There is a limitation when the user views or expands the DG.
- If the DG has more than 100 members, it cannot be expanded in Office Communicator or Lync.
