The co-processor register may not restore correctly if an IRQ occurs in the middle of a thread switch on a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3-based device

Symptoms

When a thread switch is implemented in the kernel on a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3-based device, an interrupt request (IRQ) occurs. However, the co-processor register may not restore correctly and the device may not work as expected.

Cause

This issue occurs because the co-processor register of a thread is restored before the thread becomes runnable in the thread switch. If an IRQ occurs and a higher priority thread becomes runnable, the save and restore operation of the co-processor register may not work as expected.
