"Unable to match outbound Bill Of Lading" error message when you run the Translator Verification (44.406.00) process in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0


Consider the following scenario in eCommerce Gateway - EDI Edition in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0:
  • You run the Status.exe file that is located in the Edge\EX directory. The file generates a status file that contains more than 9,999 lines.
  • You click Begin Processing in the Translator Verification (44.406.00) screen to process the status file.
When you run the Translator Verification (44.406.00) process in this scenario, you receive the following error message in the event log:
Unable to match outbound Bill Of Lading. ISA number: %, Transaction number: %, Receiver Id: %


This problem occurs because the data in the status file is displaced to the right by one character unexpectedly when the file contains more than 9,999 lines. In this situation, the Translator Verification (44.406.00) cannot match the documents in the status file to the documents in the database.
