Event ID 214 is logged when you run a backup operation on a passive node after you install Exchange Server 2007 SP3 in an Exchange Server 2007 CCR environment

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. You install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) in an Exchange Server 2007 Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) environment. You run a backup operation on the passive node. In this scenario, the log files are not truncated even if the backup operation is completed. Therefore, the disk space is not released. Additionally, the following event is logged in the Application log on the active node:

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
2279665 Description of Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3
