Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a report that is created in the PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel.

  • All the matrices in the report have the Capture Changes before Workflow Action option set to True.

  • You submit data in a report assignment that is associated with a generic model.

  • You install Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 SP3.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

index was outside the bounds of the array

Note This problem does not occur before you install PerformancePoint Server 2007 SP3.

Workaround

To work around this issue, set the Capture Changes before Workflow Action option to False for at least one matrix. Set this option before you submit the data in the assignment.

Warning If you set this option to False, any changes to the matrix are not submitted when you submit the data in the assignment.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
