The data in the title field is removed when a document is sent to a Record Center in SharePoint Server 2007


When you send a document to a Record Center in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, and then try to view the record in the Record Center document library, the data in the title field is removed. 


To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix updates: 
2276466 Description of the Office SharePoint Server 2007 hotfix package (dlc-x-none.msp): August 31, 2010

This hotfix addresses the issue for the record series that is first processed through the Missing Properties list after the update is applied or for items processed by previously existing record series that do not have missing properties when they are sent to the records center.

For the previous existing record series that have already been processed through the Missing Properties list before you apply the hotfix, follow these steps:
  1. Apply this hotfix package.
  2. The previous existing record series had already processed through the Missing Properties list.
  3. Each records series that is added to the Missing Properties list has to be deleted and recreated in the Recording routing list.

Note When you try to delete a record series, there must be no items pending to be processed for that record series in the Missing Properties list. Additionally, you have to follow the resolution to enable the hotfix package after you apply the hotfix package.


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
