A Live Meeting may continue when a presenter exits the meeting by clicking the close button (X) in the Live Meeting 2007 console window


Consider the following scenario. A presenter exits a live meeting by clicking on the close button (X) in the Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 console window. In this situation, the meeting may still continue.


To fix this problem, install the following cumulative update:

Note After you apply this cumulative update, you must edit the registry to enable the additional dialog for the presenters. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2.  Locate and then select the following registry subkey:

    3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
    4. Type LiveMeeting, and then press ENTER.
    5. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:

    6. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD(32-bit) Value.
    7. Type ExitMeetingOptionsDialog, and then press ENTER.
    8. In the Details pane, right-click ExitMeetingOptionsDialog, and then click Modify.
    9. In the Valuedata box, type 1, and then click OK.
    10. Exit Registry Editor.
Note After you edit the registry settings, the following UI terms appear in the dialog box:
  • The Exit button: Only the presenter exits the Live Meeting.  
  • The Exit and end meeting for everyone button: The presenter exits the Live Meeting and it ends for everyone.         
  • The Cancel button: No action occurs, and the Live Meeting continues.
