FIX: An update is available for the LinkCFG utility in Host Integration Server 2010

This article describes an update that is available for the LinkCFG utility in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010. This update implements the following changes:
  • Updated Help syntax to include ranges and defaults
  • Updated error checking to differentiate between a bad argument (/AD#PTERS), a bad value (99,000), and a missing required parameter
  • Updated code to check for YES and NO values. A bad value is returned if no match is found for these values

After you apply this update, the following changes are added as listed in the following table:

/USEDYNAMICPUDEFINITION:value Optional parameters in brackets
/USEIPV6:YES/NOOptional parameters in brackets. YES/NO matches the Synchronous Data Link Control (SDLC) example in braces {YES/NO}
/NOPREFERREDNNS:YES/NOOptional parameters in brackets. YES/NO matches the Synchronous Data Link Control (SDLC) example in braces {YES/NO}
[/DELAYEDPATHSWITCHTIMER:number(default is 0)]Number between 0 and 65535 (default is 0)

Additionally, no error occurs with the OverMax input value. The OverMax input value is still written to the configuration file.
