Lync Server evaluation period has expired

Symptoms

  • Lync clients cannot sign into the Lync Server pool and return the following information in an error dialog:

    Cannot sign in because server is temporarily unavailable. if the problem continues, please contact your support team.

  • The Lync Server Front End service will not start and logs following error in the Lync Server event log:

    Description: The evaluation period has expired.
