Description of the Input Method Editor 2007 hotfix package (ime32-ja-jp.msp): February 22, 2011


This article describes the Microsoft Office Input Method Editor (IME) 2007 issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated February 22, 2011.


Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario. You use Microsoft Office Input Method Editor (IME) 2007 to type Japanese characters in a program. Then, you convert the (ししど) characters to Kanji characters. In this scenario, the conversion result (穴戸) of the characters in the IME candidate list is incorrect.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. You must have 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 installed to apply this hotfix package.
