Summary
When you try to access your email using Outlook.com, Yahoo!, or Gmail, Internet Explorer may hang or crash.
Resolution
Incorrect date and time settings on your PC can cause problems accessing web-based email servers. Make sure that the date and time settings are correct on your PC. To check the date and time, follow these steps:
If running the Fix it above did not resolve your issue, changes to your Internet Explorer options might prevent you from viewing your email website. You can reset Internet Explorer to its original settings to remove any changes to Internet Explorer without deleting your favorites or feeds. To automatically reset Internet Explorer settings, run the Reset Internet Explorer Settings Fix it. When asked whether you want to run or save the file, click Run, and then follow the steps in the wizard.
- In Control Panel, open Date and Time. To do this, click Start
, type date and timein the Start Search box, and then click Date and Time in the Programs list. - Click Change date and time.
- In the Date and Time Settings dialog box, set the date and time to the correct values.
- Click OK two times.
