- You install and configure Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Master Data Services (MDS) on a computer.
- You set the Number of domain-based attributes in list property of an MDS database to a small value by using Master Data Services Configuration Manager.
For example, you set the Number of domain-based attributes in list property to 10.
- You try to apply filter criteria for an attribute in Entities Explorer of the MDS website.
Note If there are more available items than the limit that is set in the Number of domain-based attributes in list property, a search box should be displayed instead of a drop-down list.
