Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install Microsoft BizTalk ESB Toolkit 2.0 on a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009.

  • You run the ESB Configuration Tool to configure Exception Web Services.


In this scenario, the configuration fails. Additionally, an error message that resembles the following is logged in the ESBConfigurationTool.log file:

Cause

The issue occurs because of a problem in the ESB Configuration Tool (EsbConfigurationTool.exe) file.

Resolution

Cumulative update information
