How to ungroup the POP and IMAP folders
If you are using both POP and IMAP mail accounts in Outlook, ungroup the POP and IMAP folders. To do this, follow these steps:- On the menu, click Outlook, and then select Preferences.
- Open General.
- Click to clear the Group similar folders, such as inboxes, from different accounts box.
- Close the window.
How to create or to delete a folder for a POP account
To add a folder, follow these steps:- Start Outlook.
- Click Mail if your mail is not already displayed.
- If an IMAP account has already been set up, you see this option at the top of the On my Computer folders. If there is no IMAP account, you see your folders.
- Click to select the folder in which you want to create a new folder.
- On the File menu, select New, and then select Folder.
- Replace "Untitled Folder" with the name that you want to use for this folder.
- If the new folder is not in the correct location, drag-and-drop it into the desired location.
- If you want the new folder to be a top-level folder (such as Inbox) drag-and-drop it in On my Computer. If On my Computer is not there, drag-and-drop the new folder just above Inbox without highlighting Inbox.
- Select the folder that you want to delete.
- Click the Edit menu.
- Select Delete.

To add a folder, follow these steps:- Start Outlook.
- Click Mail if your mail is not already being displayed.
- Click to select Inbox.
- On the File menu, select New, and then select Folder.
- Replace "Untitled Folder" with the name that you want to use for this folder.
- Select the folder that you want to delete.
- Click the Edit menu.
- Select Delete.
