This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated June 28, 2011.
INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
- Consider the following scenario:
- You create a meeting request in Outlook 2007 that has a Form Region Add-in installed.
- You send the meeting request to an attendee.
- The attendee opens the meeting request, and then sends a time change proposal to you.
- You open the proposal, click View All Proposal, and then you close the meeting request.
- Consider the following scenario:
- User A sends an email message that has an attachment from outside the organization or from a POP account to a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox.
- User B accesses the Exchange Server 2010 mailbox by using Outlook 2007 with MAPI.
- User B forwards this email message to user C who is outside the organization or who is another POP account user.
- User C forwards this message to user A or to another user who is in the organization.

You install the update of Outlook 2007 that is described in the Knowledge Base (KB) article 2458611. You successfully send an email message by using Outlook 2007 in online mode together with simple MAPI. In this scenario, the message still displays in the Outbox folder instead of the Sent Items folder.
- When you index data from a .pst file in Outlook 2007, Windows Search crashes repeatedly. Therefore, the indexing processes is stopped for mail items and have to be started again.
- When you open a shared folder of another user in Outlook 2007, the Outlook Today page may display instead of the shared folder.
- Outlook 2007 does not start again after it encounter a bad state (does not start or displays no UI in several minutes). Additionally, there are Outlook.exe processes running in the task list of Windows Task Manager.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
