Description of the Outlook 2007 hotfix package (Outlook-x-none.msp): April 24, 2012

Applies to: Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 hotfix package that is dated April 24, 2012.

Note This is build 12.0.6661.5003 of the hotfix package.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you open and then close an .eml file, a new .tmp file is created in the temp directory. This .tmp file remains in the temp directory until you close Outlook 2007.
  • Outlook 2007 removes text in the plain text format from an email message that is in the MIME format. This issue occurs when the email message contains both text in the plain text format and text in the HTML format.
  • When the SendOne registry entry is set 0, an email message remains in the Outbox folder in Outlook 2007.
  • After you reply to or forward an email message in Outlook 2007, you receive the following error message:
The message being sent exceeds the message size.
In this situation, you cannot close the email message. Additionally, you cannot exit Outlook 2007.
  • If a messaging records management (MRM 1.0) retention policy applies to all folders in Outlook 2007, the policy is not shown in a secondary mailbox.
