The VAT Refund Annex (Vendor Relation) page of the VAT Statement report (12) displays only one line with the RC code for two vendors with reverse charge VAT setup in the Portuguese version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV

This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics NAV for the Portuguese (pt) language locale.

Symptoms

Assume that you have two vendors with reverse charge value-added tax (VAT) setup in the Portuguese version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The RC configuration is used for the two vendors. In this situation, when you preview the VAT Refund Annex (Vendor Relation) page of the VAT Statement report (12), only one line is displayed for the reverse charge VAT. The report displays the sum of amounts for the two vendors in one line with the RC code. However, two separate lines with the RC code should be displayed for the two vendors in the VAT Refund Annex (Vendor Relation) page of the VAT Statement report (12).
This problem occurs in the following products:
  • The Portuguese version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2
  • The Portuguese version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
  • The Portuguese version of Microsoft Dynamcis NAV 5.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

To resolve this problem, change the code in the GroupByCustVend function in VAT Statement report (12) as follows:
Existing code 1
...
// IF VATEntriesSum.FINDFIRST THEN BEGIN
// VATEntriesSum."VAT Registration No." := VATEntries."VAT Registration No.";
VATEntriesSum.SETRANGE("VAT Registration No.",VATEntries."VAT Registration No.");
IF VATEntriesSum.FINDFIRST THEN BEGIN
// PS45691.END
VATEntriesSum."Posting Date" := VATEntries.GETRANGEMAX("Posting Date");
...
Replacement code 1
...
// IF VATEntriesSum.FINDFIRST THEN BEGIN
// VATEntriesSum."VAT Registration No." := VATEntries."VAT Registration No.";
VATEntriesSum.SETRANGE("VAT Registration No.",VATEntries."VAT Registration No.");

// Add the following lines.
IF (VATEntries."VAT Calculation Type" = VATEntries."VAT Calculation Type"::"Reverse Charge VAT") AND
(VATEntries."Country/Region Code" = CompanyInfo."Country/Region Code")
THEN
VATEntriesSum.SETRANGE("Bill-to/Pay-to No.",VATEntries."Bill-to/Pay-to No.");
// End of the lines.

IF VATEntriesSum.FINDFIRST THEN BEGIN
// PS45691.END
VATEntriesSum."Posting Date" := VATEntries.GETRANGEMAX("Posting Date");
...
Existing code 2
...
//VATTotalBase := VATTotalBase + VATEntries.Amount;
VATTotalBase := VATTotalBase + VATEntries.Base;
// PS46974.END
UNTIL VATEntries.NEXT = 0;
VATEntriesSum.SETRANGE(Type);
