FIX: The pointer icon image becomes stuck when a webpage uses the jQuery UI Library to implement the drag-and-drop feature in Internet Explorer 9

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • In Windows Internet Explorer 9, you visit a webpage that implements the drag-and-drop feature by using the jQuery UI Library.
  • You drag an item onto a location, such as a hyperlink.
In this scenario, the pointer icon changes when the pointer is over the drop location. For example, the pointer icon changes from the arrow icon to the hand icon. When you move the pointer away from the drop location, the icon does not switch back to the original icon. Instead, the icon stays with the drop-location icon.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the following cumulative security update:
