Some shapes are printed in color when you try to print a Visio drawing in black and white

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a drawing in Microsoft Visio.
  • You use the Insert menu to insert a picture, an item of clip art, or a chart into the drawing.
  • You select the Color as black check box in the print dialog box.
  • You print the drawing.

In this scenario, some shapes and charts in the drawing may be printed in color instead of in black and white..


This issue occurs when you insert charts or pictures into the drawing. These objects are not affected by Color as black setting in the print dialog box.


To work around this issue, configure the printer driver to print in black and white. For more information about how to enable black-and-white print settings on the printer driver, refer to the instruction manual for the printer driver.
