Issue 2

When you run a Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) statement against a small dataset in a PowerPivot workbook, and the DAX statement includes an IF function, the computer’s memory usage increases unexpectedly. This may affect the computer’s performance.

Issue 3

When you use the SUBSTITUTE function in a DAX statement against a column that uses the String data type in a PowerPivot workbook, Excel 2010 may crash.

Issue 4

Consider the following scenario:

• You have a PowerPivot client installed on a computer.
• You import data from a data source by using the PowerPivot client.
• An HTTP error occurs during the data import operation. For example, you receive an "HTTP 500" error message.

In this scenario, the PowerPivot client does not try to import the data again. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Features that are introduced by this update

Feature 1

The Ask Questions command and the Send Feedback command are added to the File menu in a PowerPivot table in SQL Server 2008 R2 - PowerPivot for Microsoft Office Excel 2010. On the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) website, the Ask Questions command directs you to the "SQL Server PowerPivot for Excel" subforum of the "SQL Server" forum. The Send Feedback command directs to the Feedback Center of the Microsoft Connect website.

Feature 2

You can now use a PowerPivot client to directly access trusted premium and public domain data from the DataMarket section of the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
