Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Word 2010 hotfix package that is dated June 26, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you co author a Word document that contains a managed metadata property on a Microsoft SharePoint server. However, false conflicts are displayed in the document, and uploading failures occur.

  • After you configure line spacing by using the Paragraph dialog box, incorrect line spacing is set when you press CTRL+Y.

  • When you use a specific printer driver and select the Collate option to print a Word document, the printout is not collated.

  • When you open an .rtf file in Word 2010 or in Microsoft Outlook 2010, some text is missing.

  • You have a Word document that contains some text, a comment, and a shape at the bottom of the document. You select the Force Landscape paper orientation in the Tracking options. However, when you print the document at a larger scale (for example, the printout is scaled to a larger page size), the shape is not printed.

  • Assume that you create an AutoText entry that is based on some text in a Word document that is saved in a network location. In this situation, when you type the first characters in the AutoText, the Screen Tip is not displayed.

  • Assume that you create a Word document that is based on a Word template file. You select some text in the Word document and then save the selection to the AutoText ribbon gallery. However, when you set the gallery in the Create New Building Block dialog box to AutoText, the default value of the Save in option is the file name of the template file.

Note The expected value of the Save in option is Normal.

  • When you use the Range.ExportFragment method in VBA code in a Word document, you receive the following error message:

    Run-time error ‘5843’:
One of the values passed to this method or property is out of range.

  • You have an HTML email message that contains links to images on a SharePoint server. When you forward the message to a user without first reading the message, a credential dialog box appears unexpectedly for every linked image.

  • When you open a Word document in Windows Explorer that has the preview pane enabled, the preview pane has the focus instead of Word 2010.

  • When you try to paste a table or a chart from an Excel workbook to a Word document as a Microsoft Office Graphic Object, you receive the following error message:

Word cannot obtain the data for Excel.Sheet.12 link.

  • Assume that you try to print a document that contains PostScript fonts. You add the page number in the header of the document. In this situation, certain PostScript fonts are not displayed correctly.

  • Assume that the Workgroup templates are saved to a UNC share folder. The Normal.dotx template file is also saved in this folder. When you use the CopyStylesFromTemplate method to copy the styles to a Word document, you are notified that the document is locked.

  • You have an .xslt file that is based on a Word document (.doc) file that contains an image. When you try to use the _Document.TransformDocument method to load the .xslt file in another Word document, the image is not displayed.
