Note This is a SQL Server issue. This issue does not depend on the operating system that the server is running. However, this issue is known to occur when the following conditions are true:
- The updates that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article are installed on the computer that is running SQL Server:
2491214 "Non-yielding Scheduler" error and SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 R2 stops responding intermittently in Windows Server 2008 or in Windows Server 2008 R2
