INTRODUCTION

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. This update provides the latest fixes for the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of PowerPoint 2013 and Office Home and Student 2013 RT. Additionally, this update contains stability and performance improvements.

Issues that this update fixes

  • Assume that you save a .ppt file as a custom PowerPoint template (.potx file) in PowerPoint 2013. When you click the New command under the FILE table, the custom PowerPoint template is not displayed.

  • You cannot create a macro that reuses the TableInsert command in PowerPoint 2013.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You open a presentation that contains a slide with a table in PowerPoint 2013 .

    • You start Microsoft Narrator on your computer.

    • You use the keyboard to focus on the table in the slide.

    In this scenario, Narrator incorrectly reads the table as "shape."

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You open a presentation that contains a slide with comments in PowerPoint 2013.

    • You start Narrator on your computer.

    • You use the keyboard to focus on the comment text in the comments pane.

    In this scenario, Narrator does not read the comment text as expected.
