Symptoms

Assume that you create a sales order that has a direct deliver intercompany order supply chain in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. Therefore, when you create the sales order, a purchase order and intercompany sales order are created automatically. Additionally, the product uses the batch tracking dimension. On the intercompany sales order, you try to over deliver the line item. When you post the packing slip for the intercompany sales order, you receive an error message that states that the batch number must be specified even though you have specified the batch number. This problem occurs when the system tries to post the purchase receipt.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
