Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
- You install the Hyper-V role on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
- You run a Windows 8-based or Windows Server 2012-based virtual machine on the computer.
Resolution
This is a known issue that occurs when a virtual machine that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 is hosted in Windows Server 2008 R2. You can safely ignore the warning message.
