Side-by-side installations of MSI and Click-to-Run versions of Office 2013 are not supported

You can install Microsoft Office 2013 by using either the traditional MSI or Click-to-Run (C2R) methods. Even though you may be able to install Office 2013 by using both methods, we do not support the coexistence of an Office 2013 MSI and Office 2013 Click-to-Run installation on the same computer.

For example, a Visio 2013 Professional installation from the Volume License Service Center (VLSC) is not supported when installed side-by-side with Office 365 ProPlus, because Visio 2013 is an MSI installation and Office 365 ProPlus is a Click-to-Run installation.

Note MSI Language Packs are supported with Click-to-Run Office installations. For Office 365 subscribers, however, we recommend that you install additional languages through Click-to-Run.  For further information on deploying languages through Click-to-Run installations, see Plan for Multilanguage deployment of Click-to-Run based Office installations.
