"This is not a valid win32 application" error when you try to install Office 365 ProPlus, Visio Pro for Office 365, or Project for Office 365

PROBLEM

When you try to install Office 365 ProPlus, Visio Pro for Office 365, or Project for Office 365, you receive the following error message:
This is not a valid win32 application
This issue occurs if you try to install the program on an operating system that's not supported.

SOLUTION
