Upgrade actionsThis compatibility update may trigger several actions when you upgrade to the latest version of Windows 8. The following are the most common actions that may occur:
- Upgrade block
This action puts an upgrade block on an application that may cause the upgrade to Windows 8 to fail. Windows 8 may put an upgrade block on a third-party application only if the manufacturer is notified. The User has to uninstall to continue with the upgrade.
- Reinstall after upgrade
The user can continue to upgrade. However, the application or driver works if a user reinstalls after the upgrade
