Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2012 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2012 fix release.
Symptoms
When you try to install SQL Server Data Quality Services (DQS) in Microsoft SQL Server 2012, it should only be supported in the Enterprise edition and the Business Intelligence edition. However, when you try to install DQS in the Standard edition of SQL Server 2012, the operation is completed successfully.
Resolution
After you apply the fix, you cannot install DQS in the Standard edition of SQL Server 2012.
