Hotfix enables a dump file to be generated when the Rhs.exe process detects a deadlock condition in Windows Server 2008

Introduction

This article describes a hotfix for Windows Server 2008 that enables a dump file to be generated when the Resource Hosting Subsystem (Rhs.exe) process detects a deadlock condition. After you install the hotfix, a mini dump file is generated in the following location when the Rhs.exe process freezes and then restarts because of the deadlock condition:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must be running Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Additionally, you must have the Failover Clustering feature installed.
