Symptoms


This article describes Hotfix Package 1 for Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) 4.6 Service Pack 2 (SP2). This hotfix package contains the latest hotfixes for App-V 4.6 SP2.

Note We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because these builds are cumulative, each new hotfix package contains all the hotfixes that were included with the previous hotfix package. We recommend that you apply the most recent hotfix package for App-V SP2. This package is dated February 2013.

Issues that are fixed in this hotfix package

This hotfix package fixes the following issues:
  • The server that is running App-V 4.6 SP2 may crash with Stop error 0x00000022.
  • When Folder Redirection is enabled in an App-V 4.6 SP2 environment, a file on a non-virtual source cannot be renamed and saved to a virtual destination. This issue occurs when the source is located on a remote file system.
  • When the App-V 4.6 SP2 environment is experiencing heavy usage, the Application Virtualization Client service (sftlist.exe) may intermittently crash.
  • The server that is running App-V 4.6 SP2 may crash with Stop error 0x00000050.

Additionally, this hotfix package includes an update to the Open XML Format SDK for App-V 4.6 SP2.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
