Symptoms

When you try to install the trial version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 or Microsoft Office 365 Home on more than one computer, you receive the following error message:

Microsoft Office couldn’t activate your time-based license because the activation server reported a problem.

Error code: 0xC004C032

Cause

This issue occurs because these trial versions can only be installed on one computer.

Workaround

To work around this issue, only install the Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 or Office 365 Home trial version on one computer. You can download the trial versions here:

Note If you want to install a trial of Office Home Premium 365 on more than one computer, you need to use a different Microsoft account for each installation.
