Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 hotfix package that is dated August 13, 2013.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you use Office Web App to preview a search result on a SharePoint Server 2013 site, you encounter an error. This issue occurs for one of the following reasons:

    • The URL of the search result that you access is outside default Alternative Access Mapping (AAM) zone.

    • The file name of the search result contains multibyte characters, such as Japanese characters.

  • When you map more than one property for export for SharePoint Server 2013 synchronization, the properties may map to incorrect values.

  • In certain situations, such as when you upload a file to a SharePoint Server 2013 document library that uses the SharePoint Server 2010-style user experience, some buttons on the ribbon menu are nonfunctional.

  • Assume that you enable versioning for a SharePoint Server 2013 list that contains many items. When you filter the list by an indexed lookup column, multiple entries for each version are displayed.

  • When you use Office Web App to follow a document in which the name contains East Asian languages on a SharePoint Server 2013 site, you receive the following error message:

Sorry, something went wrong. An error has occurred on the server.

  • When you export a design package from a SharePoint Server 2013 site, some out-of-box (OOB) fields are missing from the content types.

  • When you follow a document that contains non-English characters in a SharePoint Server 2013 document library, the document is still displayed as a recommendation.

  • Assume that a user views the view styles on a SharePoint Server 2013 site that has a language pack installed. When you view the view styles on the SharePoint Server 2013 site that has a different language pack installed, the view styles are still displayed as the language that the first user viewed.

  • Assume that you set the browser language to a non-English language. When you perform a query that contains English terms, English results are not returned as expected.

  • When you click an x-axis value of an analytic chart on a SharePoint Server 2013 dashboard, you receive an incorrect result that consists of a drilled-down chart for a different x-axis value. This issue occurs when the browser window that the chart is displayed in is not wide enough to display all series values.
