Description of the SharePoint Server 2010 cumulative update package (SharePoint server-package): August 13, 2013

Note An error may occur when you install the original August 13, 2013 release of this cumulative update package on a computer that has Office 2010 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed. We have addressed this issue, and we have updated the cumulative update package in this release. If you have already downloaded and deployed the original August 13, 2013 release of this cumulative update package, and an error did not occur, then you do not have to install this updated version of the cumulative update package.

Summary

Cumulative update packages for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 contain hotfixes for the issues that were fixed since the release of SharePoint Server 2010.

Note This is build 14.0.7106.5002 of the cumulative update package.

We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and security updates that were included in the previous SharePoint Server 2010 update package releases.
