Symptoms


When you try to deploy Enterprise Portal for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 in an environment that is running Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013, the deployment is unsuccessful.

Cause


This problem occurs because the prerequisite validation utility in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 prevents the installation of Enterprise Portal on SharePoint Server 2013.

Prerequisites

  1. You must install one of the following updates if you plan to run Enterprise Portal on either Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013 or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013. Choose the update that matches the SharePoint version on which you plan to deploy Enterprise Portal.
  2. After you install an update, you must run the SharePoint Products Configuration wizard.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.
