Outlook 2013 crash caused by Evernote add-in (EvernoteOL.dll)

Resolution

If you have the Evernote add-in for Outlook installed, you may experience crashes in Microsoft Outlook 2013. This problem is caused by a possible incompatibility between the Evernote.Connect add-in and Microsoft Outlook 2013.

If you open the Application Event log (see can see how below) and examine the events, you may see events pointing to a crash in EvernoteOL.dll, similar to the following example:

How to open the Event Viewer

Event ID: 1000

Application Name: outlook.exe
Application Version: 15.0.4420.1017
Module Name: EvernoteOL.dll
Module Version: 4.6.2.7927
Offset: 0000af5b

To fix this, you can manually disable the Evernote.Connect add-in. Here's how:

Manually disable theEvernote.Connect add-in
