This article describes the supportability for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 deployments using Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) forests and domains.

More Information

  • Lync Server 2010 deployments are supported by the forest or domain functional levels of Windows Server 2003 native mode through Windows Server 2012 R2
  • Lync server 2010 deployments are not supported at the forest or domain functional level of Windows Server 2003 mixed mode
  • Lync Server 2010 Universal groups are fully supported by the Windows Server 2012 Windows AD DS
